Our chief objective of capacitating students to learn problem-solving and employability skills has come to fruition. Reskilling students and changing their perspective on rediscovering their potential have become the recent focus of our newly tailored methodology in higher education. We aim to empower students through sound education that makes both change and revolution happen concomitantly in society. The professors and members of the Nazareth community take a keen interest in furthering academic zest for the common good.
We are aware of the increasing academic needs of students from diversified economic and social backgrounds. Nazareth, as a family and an institution, is glad to extend its eleemosynary work to those who grow with it invariably. Located in the suburbs of Chennai, just 5 minutes from Avadi, which houses India’s only Army tank factory and depot, Nazareth College of Arts and Science is uniquely positioned to contribute to, and draw from, the strength and diversity of this sublime metropolis. Our faculty and students are forerunners, creators, teachers, researchers, and change agents. We believe in what Mahatma Gandhi said You must be the change you want to see in the world. A prospectus is a useful document for the future
The year, 1976 saw the origin of Nazareth Nursery School with seven children. Over the years, it has grown leaps and bounds to accommodate more than 9000 students. C&D Educational Trust develops, formulates and implements various activities that impart education with deep sense of social upliftment and communal harmony.
In the year 2000, Nazareth College of Arts and Science was started with non-conventional and job oriented courses. Each course has been carefully selected with due consideration to the national agenda on employments.

Nazareth College of Arts and Science (India) is now a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI)! Please find attached the membership guidelines and a certificate confirming your membership in UNAI. You join some 1470 institutions in 146 countries who are working with the United Nations to promote global priorities, including peace, human rights, and sustainable development. As a UNAI member, you are required to carry out at least one activity in support of UNAI and its ten principles during a calendar year. Please keep us informed about all your UNAI-related activities, which we would like to highlight in our Newsletter and on the website. You are also expected to submit an annual report after the end of the calendar year highlighting your UNAI-related activities. As a member, you are authorized to use the UNAI member logo on your website and on materials related to activities undertaken as a UNAI member.
