The UG Department of Computer Science established in 2000 and the PG Department of Computer Science established in 2015, boasts a team of distinguished, dynamic, and dedicated faculty members who bring a wide range of specializations to their teaching. At present the department has 268 students. Their commitment to excellence ensures that students receive the guidance, inspiration, and motivation needed to thrive in the IT field. The department is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including advanced computer labs and high-speed internet connectivity. Practical training in various programming languages is a key focus, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their careers. Add on courses and certificate courses are conducted by the department for student’s skill development. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in online exams tailored to industry requirements. The department maintains good placement record, with numerous final-year students securing positions in esteemed corporate sectors, showcasing the exceptional level of preparation and training they receive.

In keeping with this trend Nazareth has signed Memorandum of Understanding with the reputed agencies such as Amsol IT Private Limited, Bryn Train, 7 MPS, MaFoi, NIIT, Vy systems, Finmark Traders, ART LAB Madras, GUSTO, TeachSub Academy, Alchemy Academy of Performing Arts, Ministro Foundation – Chennai, Pragnya – Chennai, Finmark -Chennai. The College Institution Interaction Cell promotes closer interaction between the academic and Industrial fields. The purpose of the cell is to find out the gap between need of the industry and end product of the institution. The cell is the bridge between the industry, the real world and the institute. The students are exposed to the market and its demand. The cell helps the students to find a smooth transition from college to corporate life. The cell also serves as a platform for students in finding internship opportunities as part of their curriculum and during vacation. It serves as a base for where workshops, conferences and symposia with joint participation of the industries. Industry experts also connect with students through webinars, video conference, online training programmes and lectures. This also serves as place to establish rapport with industries for taking up mini projects and projects, strengthen Alumni relations, assist the Training and Placement Division and organize industrial visits.
