Description:

Nazareth College of Arts And Science initiated to bring Masters Programmed in the College. As a result of this, in the year 2012, the college started the Post Graduation in Social Work (MSW). The objective of the course is to empower the student community by bridging them with the society and the societal problems.

About the Course:

The course is recognised by the University of Madras and the course is 2 years and 4 semester pattern.
The MSW department has 3 specializations namely,

  • Community Development
  • Medical & Psychiatry
  • Human Resource Management

The main objective of the course is to provide theory cum practical education to the students and therefore, the students will be sent for field work, 2 days in a week. In addition to this, the students will be taken outside the state for Rural Camp and Study Tour. It also encourages the students to undergo one month of Internship / Block Placement at the end of every year.
